For more than four decades, Valerie Nugent has been providing care and leading teams in Cape Breton. A registered nurse by training, she joined Nova Scotia Health in 1984, and over the next 41 years, built a broad and diverse career as a front-line nurse and leader. Since 2010, Valerie has been director of the Cancer Care program in Eastern Zone.
